Indymedia reports that the former Socialist Party TD , Joe Higgins , recently made a tour of Latin America to film a documentary with TG4 of Che's route in the Motorcycle diaries .

Why is the state broadcaster financing and promoting Higgins in this way? Associating Che's name with Higgins is surely an insult to the memory of a genuine revolutionary who died fighting for the oppressed .
